With Loving Greetings
When I was staying with my mom during a recent visit home, I picked up a book (Leaves of Gold) she had displayed in her living room, that I must have looked at hundred times before. Being more present in mind paid off and I discovered a book of vitamins for my mind and spirit. Not only is this book filled with wisdom from the best authors of the world, both ancient and modern, as of 1952, it also has great sentimental value because it was a gift to my great-grandmother, Tillie, from her sister, Lillian in 1955. I’m a sucker for sentimental items passed down through my family.
I snatched it up and kindly asked my mom to let me hang on to it for awhile. If you ever come across this book of gold, buy it and it will surely bring hope, courage and wisdom to you no matter what is going on in your life.
🙂 I wish I had a book from my great-grandmother…but they didn’t know how to read. My grandmothers both learned to read and write as adults after WWII. I can only imagine how much you treasure this. I will look it up and see if I can get it from the library to read. Thanks for posting this.
