Day 8 of Jumping
Deep in the heart of TEXAS!!
REMEMBER THE ALAMO!
Do you know the history of The Alamo? We learned a little about it today as we made a stop there traveling through San Antonio, Texas. Check out some fun historical facts here.
Another beautiful feature of San Antonio was the Riverwalk. It’s quite possible that you would miss this little bit of Italy if you weren’t looking for it. Restaurants with outdoor seating, tour boats and ducks joined in to make this a little oasis in the heart of San Antonio.
I just have to say that we love Texas! I don’t know if it’s the southern-drawl of it’s citizens, or the charming, polished gentleman of this great state, but our prayers are going up to heaven for a few cowboys from Texas!!
As usual, we started our day with a plan to make it to Lake Charles, LA by nighttime, but our plans halted after hitting a freeway shutdown in Katy, Texas. It’s all good though. We make our plans but God directs our steps!
We hope you had a great weekend and that you take time tomorrow to remember the veterans who have served this country!

My wife & I loved our trip to San Antonio years back. It struck us how small the Alamo is. Funny (& reassuring) that you don’t have to be imposing in order to make a difference & leave a legacy.

I hadn’t worn flip-flops for several months in Seattle, but as soon as we hit the California coast…I slapped them on my white feet!
